SPG Hydro is the result of a merge of two distinct and complementary companies. One specialized in underwater investigation of structures and inspection techniques while the other offered engineering and environmental services in maritime and sub aquatic domains.

A few individuals passionate about the sub aquatic field, shed light on the main existing deficiencies in underwater intervention. They mostly looked into investigation and inspection techniques of structures. Their work and experience will lead, in the beginning of the 80's to the creation of Subdev Canada Inc., offering services in the expertise, engineering and environment fields in maritime and underwater surroundings. The company leads tests meant to develop new procedures and new technology which will in turn improve the quality and precision of sub aquatic readings.

In 1995, after many years of collaboration and joint realizations, the companies merged and became, officially, SPG Hydro International Inc. This development was directly linked to the demands of some of our clients who required construction work.

Today, the highly qualified team is composed of engineers, biologists and technicians. A network of partners allows SPG Hydro to set up a multidisciplinary team and to cover all required disciplines to accomplish the projects and respect their timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
